Wednesday, December 26, 2007 Happy Boxing Day! AND a FEW more Minutes to my Birthday! =p

24 Dec, Christmas Eve
I spent the whole day doing CIP at Giving from the Heart at the Atrium. I was allowed to stay out late for the first time,
AND I STAYED TILL ONE PLUS =)
My shift was youth banker in the morning and it was kind of depressing because I wasn't really enthusiastic about it... Rejections were common too.Jeremy was really enthusiastic about it though...=) and Qh, Jeremy and Jonathan combo was really powerful..."suaning" me all the way and not Hui Li.

BUT later on, it was more entertaining when i was doing ice skating.Even though my feet now has a blister due to a defective skates, it was more interesting than before. I guess it is a relative thing. I develop a backache (bending down when teaching kids) and muscles cramp in my legs.

Ernest came later but he was dressed so formally. He looked good though =)

I'm so glad that I went to the CIP. I met LOTS of friends from PAE (1st 3 months in SR) and some people from MJC, people like Xin Wei and Kenneth. ^^

AND thank you Jiong Hong for taking care of my "welfare" about the food...

25 Dec
I slept till 2.30 pm since I reached home around 2am and slept at around 3-4am?Late right? It wasn't a christmas for me since I basically slept the whole day away. Then I spent the later part part of the day reading manga (I regret it now since I have LOTS to catch up!)

26 Dec
Boxer's Day! I went to school for a group study with Mabel, Clarice, Hayden, Bryan, Leon, Jun Kang and Samuel. Thanks Hayden and Mabel for the poker cards from Hong Kong Disney Land!

Samuel is really early today! He came at around 1pm +? Pro right? The best part was the TV program Part 1. You guys arhz... If you dare to post the video...I will kill you! thanks for those who helped me with my Phys too... =)

Oh and I don't know how you guys can get so excited over some names. lolx. They were looking at the list of names of JC1s next year and laughing over them. One name was really funny... "Maple" Like who gets named after a game?

Met up with Qh later to pass him his notes. He is so pro la, losing his notes leaving them behind at somewhere. The fun part was when we went to tampines mall.
Walking through the Pasar Malam was nostalgic. It reminds me of the time when my family and I will enjoy ourselves throughly walking through Pasar Malam. I was really engrossed with the different types and smell of the food there. As usual, there were pop-corn and candy floss (my favourite!) there were a few stores of Rami burgers too.

I was enjoying shopping until some "bugger" reminded me that there were econ tutorial and other pile of hw not done yet. Pro right? Hang out around at tampines mall for a while before going back to the Pasar Malam to play games! With a gun in hand, I tried to shoot down the tagets (in the form of ducks) down. Qh played too, but all of the targets missed. There were a few close calls though. Then I tried another game by aiming at empty cans and throwing balls at them. It was sort of like air bowling and I won this small handphone pouch. ^^

I love the present the Qh gave me. It was a music box. Whenever it was opened, it would play the music "love song", a song that I used to love and practiced hard to master it. I forgot how to play it already though...

And that's all for today. As much as I would like to mug, to lessen some of this guilty conscious that I would feel tomorrow, I doubt I will. i'm tired. it will be a long but fun day tomorrow. ^^

Mina san! Tadaima...

I know that I've been lazy for the past few days, allowing sheer fatigue to take me to lala land before I'm able to pen down a decent post. And i feel a desperate need to rant, whine, kick and complain (not like it's going to bring back the animes that I have LOST!) over my hardrive failing me yet again.

It all started during a certain inauspicious period when I tried to access the hardrive to upload the photos taken during the class outing to Hysen's house onto photobucket. It seems like my effort are in vain since it seems like no one is interested.

Initially, I dismissed it as a common technical problem which would be resolved the next time my computer is rebooted. However, it was more than it meets the eye. It seems that my precious hardrive have decided to lead the way to HELL, together with my anime with it. Amist my and frustrations at an unwilling partner, I reformatted my hardrive. As usual, the blame of corrupting the hardrive fell on me. Luckily, I managed to save some documents and pictures with the help of the program.

I guess you pretty much guess what I'm preoccupied with the past few days - recovering my files, programs and tutorials. Other than that, I spent a few days (2) doing CIP for the event "Giving from the Heart at the atrium" near Sing plaza. It went rather well, and I worked together with Ernest, my sec school friend. like before, we were bickering as if nothing had changed =)

I made a few new friends, one a primary school teacher who appear to be very fierce, but her personality is otherwise. I enjoy talking to Nariah who is really friendly. Ohs, not forgetting this little boy whose name is..... Jeremy! hahaz... and his sister name is Geraldine. What a coincidence. There are a few others whose name I have forgotten. Can't be helped. blame it on my short term memory.

A good friend of mine just came back to Singapore. It feels so weird though...before the trip we were like the best of buddies and now, he just seem so busy and stressed with the mounting tutorials attempting to smother him. I hope he would be able to complete his tutorials in time.

I'm starting to feel real guilty for
not doing the tutorials and studying like expected. I really have to start soon. I'm dreading the DAY since it would mean that holidays are coming to an end. Get me out of the house for some serious group studying people. I need a push...

Monday, December 10, 2007 Geraldine shall not be so nice anymore...

I decided to quit on my first day of work!

Initially, I thought it would be fun since I would get to make more new friends and get experience. Also, it is supposedly a very "slack" job as a store taker whereby you would fold and package the lingerie, sort them out and count the number of sets of them and record them down. 3 other girls, all of them 1 year younger than me, were employed.

The first hour was alright when my back started to experience a couple of backache. You see, I had to sit on the cold and hard floor, bend down occasionally, pose for a couple of minutes and package those goods. Mind you, it is not as slack as it seems and it should not be in one of your choice as a permanent job because you would suffer spine problems later on. Imagine 7 hours bending down repeatedly and posing till you finish your "package".

Also, it is just plain boring. The pay was low, $5/hr(I rather do telemarketing for my mum, $8/hr + commission) and I learnt nothing except how to fold lingerie! I prefer to do sales which would be more interesting and I would be interacting with people. It was basically a brainless job, working like a factory worker, repeatedly doing the same steps over and over again.

However, thanks to this job, I managed to find my motivation to hit the books again. I never, ever want to do such a job again. It's going to kill me. During that period of my precious time, I could have used to pick up a new skill for photoshop just by stonning in front of the comp. lolx.

8 hours worth of time, gone down the drain...=(

*edit* btw, the job is only for girls... :p
and...at least I did finish my job today. I could have given up half way. Now I wish I did because my back is killing me!

I want to retreat back to the world that I created, back when fairytales and the little girl still existed...

-The weight of yesterday and tomorrow, when carried today, makes even the strongest falter.-
